 We
started Radio
Velayat in 1996. In a 120° heat, when the snow on the ground
was more than 3
feet, when we felt down, when we were happy, when we were sick, when up beat and snappy. Two
on the right (Mahtab & Mohammad Ali) conservative and traditional, two
on the left (Toktam & Babak) liberal and progressive. Thank you for allowing us
in you homes, every Saturday. We have shared death of our parents and birth of our
children with you. We have talked about funny issues and laughed with you. We have
asked for your help when a fellow citizen needed your hand. We have brought up
controversial issues; talked politics, religious, sex, money; praised the good work and
criticized the not-too-good work. Folks, here we are, and we love you.
Now it is
time to move on. New producers will take over the
productions. Please do remain in touch with your radio
personalities and keep calling the show ON THE AIR.
